Christian Fuchs says he could kiss Eden Hazard after the Chelsea star handed Leicester the Premier League title with his goal against Tottenham.
The 30-year-old defender was watching the 2-2 draw with team-mates at Jamie Vardy’s house when Guus Hiddink’s men came back from 2-0 down at Stamford Bridge to snatch a point and hand the Foxes an unassailable seven-point lead at the top of the table.
"The goal from Hazard, he played great - I could kiss him after that goal!" the defender told talkSPORT.
"It was an outstanding moment when the final whistle blew and – oh my god, it was insane! We were watching it as a team at Jamie Vardy's house and I must admit I couldn't sit still, I didn't know whether to sit or stand!
"It was an exciting game and even with Tottenham 2-0 up I still believed something was possible."
The Austria defender also insisted that the spirit in the Leicester squad was a vital ingredient to their incredible success, which saw them take the title despite 5,000-1 before the season started.
He added: "The spirit is so important. You saw so many videos of us celebrating together at Jamie Vardy's house – it's not normal that all the players, with no exceptions, are coming together to watch the game and then celebrate together."
