Reports in Italy suggest that a series of dominoes are in place to set off a surprising chain of events before transfer deadline day.
Roma have never disguised their interest in Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero, although Viola director Pantaleo Corvino said on Tuesday we want to keep our most important players.”
However, if Borja Valero does make the move to the Giallorossi, then Fiorentina would turn to Jovetic.
It’d be a return to base for the Montenegro international, who seems to have no place in the Inter Milan squad under Frank de Boer.
Inter signed Jovetic from Manchester City on loan with an obligation to buy for €14.5m, so would want to sell him for a similar amount and break even.
And with ‘Jo-Jo’ coming in, Fiorentina could then opt to sell Giuseppe Rossi… with one of the clubs interested being Inter.
